Disabled Biker Forum Closing 24 June 2017
For the last twelve months (and for time to come) the NABD Committee have been reviewing and reworking all of the electronic systems that we use; Over all this means that the systems we have are been rewritten and reworked with the principal of efficiency, data collection, removing duplication of data and making information publicly available.
As part of this review the committee has decided that as the adaptions information is available on the main website and the chat section is now underused due to the large proportion of people now using our facebook group page that the resources used on providing this forum would be better used elsewhere. Therefore this forum will close on or shortly after 24 June 2017.
If you require information about adaptions and grants please visit our main website where this information is now available, if you have any questions about adaptions or grants you can contact the relevant committee member from the website too.

If you wish to chat with likeminded people about all things concerning motorcycling and disabilities (or anything within reason) please join our facebook group page, please note that we also accept private for sale and wanted adverts on this page.

Not really a surprise as it hardly gets any use now.

See you on the other side folks!

Wow, thats a lot of spam!

I shall miss this little piece of sanity on the web.

And many thanks for the years of humour, information and banter.

Sensible thing to do, I log in and check it every day, but don't have anything to offer or add, for the most part.

Sent a request to join the FB group, and waiting!

Bye bye Forum, it's been fun whilst it lasted!

Shame really, I know it's not used much but I remember looking through the posts on this forum to help me get back onto bikes again after my accident. It's always helpful finding sites like this where you can look through posts, even years old, and come across good tips and stories of how others have managed with adaptions and overcome obstacles.
I don't think Facebook gives the same sort of help to people. You can't browse through old posts/categories to get the ideas as older posts on there seem to just disappear into a long list of stories to scroll through. Hard enough trying to find a recent post on your own Facebook account let alone anything specific on a group page.
All down to money though I suppose and cuts must be made. I too have sent a request to the Facebook page to join but this forum will be missed :-(
