I am pleased to announce that I have listened to your requests and I will be starting a monthly meet for you all from next month (March 2009).I will be continuing throughout the summer season (whenever I am free).

After some consideration it has been decided to hold the meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm (19:30), so the first one will be on the 3rd March 2009, followed by the 7th April. However the 5th May will clash with the NABD National rally, where I will be marshalling, so I will hopefully see you there instead, the next one will be the 2nd June and so on.

The meetings will be held at the Barge and Barrel rock pub, Bloomfield Road, Tipton DY4 9AJ. It’s on the A4037 at the junction with Factory Road (just off the main A457).

All welcome, NABD members or not, come and have a chat.

Hope to see you there.

Vic

There was only the 3 of us, as it was only short notice I don't expect many until the summer, then hopefully more will attend (if not they won't continue anyway :? ).

You've no need to be apprehensive, we are all 'normal' (well for bikers anyway  ) and won't bite (unless David's teeth come out and attack you    ). The main topic of conversation (well after bikes  ) seemed to be them two telling me how young I was  and how The Jungle Book (animated version) was one of the best films ever made (accompanied by renditions of 'I Wanna Be Like You' and 'The Bear Necessities'- which the pub kindly put on the music on for 8) ).

Apart from two young ladies who wanted to take a picture of some 'real' bikers - but could only find us three

If it's any easier you could always meet up with one of us before hand.

I'm hoping to go again this Tuesday as they have started a jamming session (yes I know - strawberry or rasberry   ) where you bring your own instrument to play - always good for a laugh (if they bring a drum kit - like the landlord said he does - then I might even get up myself  ). So if you want to pop along withotut the pressure of a 'meeting' then your welcome.

Vic

Wotcha.

Bob, you would have been OK - I called in on my way to a "gig" at another pub . . . . I had a van full of banjos and ukes. We could have caused chaos

I reckon Vic and Dave had a lucky escape.

I felt the same before I attended a local meeting of our trike association. Walked in and there were 20ish blokes in cut-offs, was a bit aprehensive not knowing anyone but what a great bunch. D it Bob, you will have a great time ;)

Wotcha.

Not a lot to tell.

I play at another pub on Tuesday nights - so I called in at the Barge and Barrel for a couple of hours first.
