this monthly meet is the first Tuesday of every month and open to all NABD members and will start at 7pm

The "motte and bailey" public house is in Pirton [inbetween Luton and Hitchin]. it is a nice quiet village public house with a very friendly atmosphere they serve a good range of drinks including cask ales starting from as little as £2.55. The meals they serve are all home cooked and a decent [biker sized] serving with salad, vegatables or chips at quite a reasonable price [no food orders will be taken after 9pm]. They have disabled facilities such as a wheelchair accessible lavatory an access ramp on the front entrance for wheelchair use [the ramp is bought out as and when is neccecerry] also they have a covered smoking area, so for those who like to smoke can have a cigarette outside without being too exposed in bad weather, the beer garden is at the front of the pub and faces over the local green which would be nice in the summer, the car park is at the rear and there is plenty of space for bike and trike parking aswell although it is permissable to park over the road from the pub by the green [would be nice to see the bikes trikes lined up when we meet]. Simon the bar manager is friendly and helpfull and willing to bring drinks to the table for people who have mobility issue [i have discovered this from personal experience of being in the motte and bailey as i pass by for a lunch occasionally]

directions fron hitchin [from the junction of the A505 & B665] follow the b655 pirton road for 1.1 miles then turn right onto Hitchin road [signposted Pirton] and follow for 1.8 miles [national speed limit] once at pirton take the 2nd right onto "great green" and approximately 100 meters on the right is the motte and bailey

directions from Luton, follow the A505 towards Hitchin to the junction of the B665 turn left and follow directions above

PLEASE REMEMBER as bikers we do love to have events, rallies and meets in quiet villages so please ride nicely in and out of the village [and also to smile and / or wave to the locals]
