Looked with interest at MRDEGU;s post about his nippi.
Seeing this, my better half has finally found a vehicle she likes the look of and feels she could handle.
Can anyone confirm that you can drive the nippi on a prov driving licence?
As we live in stocksbridge which is ALL HILLS she feels it would be the ideal solution for her,
(It also means I could get back on a bike again) :D

hi stevie and welcome.

i dont have a positive answer for you but, i suspect it will depend on the size of the nippi's engine.

pretty sure others will reply with a better answer!

Hi Steve.

The simple answer is yes you can drive a Nippi on a provisional licence.

You just need to stick the L plates on as normal and away you go.

If you are buying a new Nippi I would recommend you get the 125cc version as it has much more power than the smaller engined version. It will also mean that it copes a lot bettr with all the hills in Stocksbridge. I do know those hills quite well as I used to visit the area on a very regular basis.

I hope your other half gets on well with her Nippi. They do take a little getting used to at first, as does every new vehicle, but after two or three times out she will be driving it like she's always had one.

Don't hesitate to get in touch if there's anything I can help out with.

Chris.

Ah the good ol' Darlek type. I'd love to see someone fix one up to look like an actual Darlek

They do really look cool with all the bodywork stripped off and just a floor and front panel. I saw one done like that a while ago, it had a steel mesh type ramp as well, but it did look pretty good.

Not the advert but in the body of the text "I still have my Nippi 125 that will be for sale soon if any one's interested, take it easy, Danny." assuming it's a nippi nippi and not a nippi trippi
